Informational/Non-Fiction Texts

We are just finishing up our Stellaluna/narrative writing unit in reading and writing.  Our next unit will allow us to explore non-fiction/informational texts.

We will be reading Elephants and Their Calves by Margaret C. Hall, and What Do You Do With a Tail  Like This? by Robin Page and Steve Jenkins.

We will be talking all about informational/non-fiction texts and their features.  Do you know the difference between Fiction and Non-Fiction texts?  Watch this video!

We are beginning our first ReadyGen Unit!  In this unit, we will read Stellaluna by Janell Cannon and begin to study Bats.

Did you know that bats eat about 600 mosquitoes in just one hour?  What else do you know about bats?  Leave us a comment telling us something you know!

You can listen to the book Stellaluna by watching this video.  Enjoy!
